The Constellation Aquila is a multi-person spacecraft manufactured by Roberts Space Industries (RSI). It is the expedition variant of the Constellation series. It comes with a P-52 Merlin docked at the stern as a snub fighter, and an Ursa parked in the cargo bay as a ground rover. Compared to the base model, the Aquila features a cockpit with improved visibility and an advanced sensor suite in place of the top turret.[1]
Features
- Dedicated Science Station: Located in the top turret, it has an complement of advanced scanning and comm technologies including a long-range scanner.
- Redesigned Bridge: The bridge window has been redesigned to allow for maximum panoramic visibility.
- Jump point navigation sensors: Features cutting edge detection algorithms to assist in locating jump points.[2]
- Snub fighter: Comes with the close-ranged fighter P-52 Merlin which has docking capability with the Aquila.[3] It is also compatible with the P-72 Archimedes.[4]
- RSI Ursa Rover: Comes with the rover which can be carried inside the cargo hold.[1]

The two size 2 shield generators were replaced with a single size 3 shield generator in Alpha 3.14, as a part of the power management v2 feature.[5]
