The Esperia Scythe is a replica of the Vanduul Scythe medium fighter manufactured for Human usage. It is used as an aggressor in United Empire of Earth Navy (UEEN) training units such as the 323rd Aggressor Squadron. An extremely limited number of the ship is available to civilian hobbyists.[1]

Features

Notoriety
There is probably no other object or symbol that best represents the terror of the Vanduul more than the Scythe itself.
Trainer
The spacecraft for ideal for aggressor training operations.
Weapons
The replica has a Size 5 "War" laser cannon, a Size 5 "Wrath" Plasma cannon, a pair of Size 1 "Weak" laser cannons as well as pair of Size 3 missile hard-points (each holding a rack of four Size 1 missiles) installed.
Blade
The Scythe is probably most notable for its giant retractable blade that is designed to rip its prey apart.

  • It was redesigned in 2014 with physically based rendering technique.[3][4]
  • The Scythe was implemented in game as NPC enemies in Arena Commander, and was later added to the game as a flyable ship as a captured model.[5]
  • The Scythe along with the rest of the Vanduul fleet were redesigned in 2019 using the design styles of the updated Kingship interior.[6]
