Medrunner Services (MRS), or simply Medrunner, is a privatized medical emergency service organization in the universe of Star Citizen. Medrunner provides professional and secure search and rescue operations for clients across various star systems. Its teams are equipped with state-of-the-art medical and security gear, prepared to operate in high-risk situations to provide life-saving assistance.

Medrunner Teams
A Medrunner Team consists of six specialized members tasked with providing emergency response services. These teams are deployed across all star systems to respond to distress beacons or be dispatched by a Dispatcher via the Medrunner Client Portal. The typical Medrunner Team consists of the following roles:
- Team Lead: Responsible for organizing and directing the team of Operators before, during, and after a rescue mission. Team Leads serve as the highest authority throughout a mission, with their primary responsibility being to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the team by coordinating all members.
- Pilots: Medrunner pilots are responsible for ensuring the swift transportation of team members to emergency locations, avoiding natural hazards and hostile threats. Pilots must operate under heavy pressure and make decisions that affect the success of the entire operation.
- Security Specialists: These specialists protect both the Medrunner team and the client. They assist in locating the client, securing the area, and removing any threats during extraction.
- Medical Technicians: Trained to provide emergency medical care, these personnel are equipped with life-saving medical tools to stabilize and treat clients before transportation.
- Combat Aerospace Patrol: Auxiliary operators who provide critical air support during rescue operations. Skilled pilots of fighter-class ships, they ensure aerial dominance and protect the team from hostile forces.
These teams are coordinated via a custom-built automated dispatch system, enabling rapid response to emergencies.

Emergency Response
Medrunner provides immediate assistance to individuals facing life-threatening situations. Equipped with advanced medical equipment, highly trained personnel are dispatched to rescue clients in hazardous environments.
Beacons
Medrunner occasionally responds to in-game distress beacons in exceptional cases. However, the only guaranteed way to request Medrunner assistance is through the official portal.
Event Services
For special community events, such as races or PvP battles, Medrunner offers medical services, respawn points, and other support amenities. These services are typically offered free of charge, especially if the event benefits Medrunner’s public relations.
CAREERS & DEPARTMENTS
Medrunner offers several career paths for players through its careers portal. Members can join rescue teams as Pilots, Security specialists, or Medical technicians to contribute to emergency response efforts.
Players wishing to join Medrunner must apply through the recruitment portal can do so on the careers portal. The button "Apply" will send them to the recruitment channel of the Medrunner Discord server.
Medrunner also offers members the opportunity to join dedicated department teams. Beyond participating in rescue operations, members can apply to join specialized departments, where they can contribute to the development and future direction of Medrunner’s operations. Recruitment for specialized roles occurs in waves, and applicants are required to designate Medrunner as their main organization on the RSI website. This process ensures that staff members are fully committed to upholding Medrunner’s high standards of excellence and professionalism.
Medrunner Academy
The Medrunner Academy is the training and certification department of Medrunner, responsible for preparing personnel for emergency response operations. The Academy ensures that responders, pilots, and leaders receive the necessary skills and knowledge to operate effectively in high-risk environments. Medrunner Academy is organized into three specialized schools, each focused on a key aspect of emergency response:
- Responder School: Trains Medical Technicians and Security Specialists in real-world rescue operations, emphasizing rapid response and effectiveness in high-pressure situations.
- Command School: Provides leadership training in tactical decision-making, strategic coordination, and team management.
- Aerospace School: Prepares Pilots and Combat Aerospace Patrol specialists to support and protect Medrunner teams during operations.
The Academy oversees evaluations and certifications, maintaining Medrunner’s operational standards through structured training programs. It continuously refines its teaching methods and skill development strategies, ensuring that all personnel are proficient in Medrunner’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
Logistics Department
The Logistics Department is responsible for ensuring that Medrunner teams are always equipped and ready to deploy. This department manages inventory, distributes medical and security equipment, and ensures that staging locations are properly stocked to support ongoing operations.

It develops and refines Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs) to ensure seamless operations in high-pressure environments. In addition, the department collaborates with Medrunner Academy to refine training programs and certification standards, contributing to the organization’s overall commitment to professionalism and rapid response.
Human Resources Department
The Human Resource Department oversees the recruitment process and manages the application procedures for new members. The department assists new recruits throughout the certification and onboarding process and maintains the member database to facilitate smooth organizational operations.
IT Department
The IT Department is responsible for maintaining and developing Medrunner’s digital infrastructure, ensuring that the organization’s technology remains reliable and up-to-date. This includes managing and developing Medrunner’s website, web applications, and databases. The department also oversees M.E.D., Medrunner’s advanced automated dispatch system, and continuously explores and implements new automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Community Department
The Community Department strengthens Medrunner’s presence within the Star Citizen universe through diplomacy, public relations, and internal engagement.
- Diplomats: Establish and maintain relationships with other organizations and communities.
