Andy Rogers is a writer who wrote the Star Citizen novella Brothers in Arms for Cloud Imperium Games.[1]

Work for CIG

In the fall of 2013, at Worldcon in San Antonio, Texas, Andy's friend and fellow author Griffin Barber introduced him to editor David Ladyman. David was working on source material for Star Citizen. They hit it off, and David asked Andy to pitch some story ideas for Star Citizen.[2]

He read Griffin’s serial, A Separate Law, and everything else they had at the time and sent David a couple ideas. He liked one, they refined a couple things to keep the programmers from having fits and Andy drafted a 12-part serial for Star Citizen in early 2014.[3][4][2]

David contacted Andy in April to say that Brothers In Arms was about to see print. Several things changed about the story, not the least of which being that it is four parts instead of the original twelve serialized episodes. The first episode was slated for print on May 15.[2]
