Star Citizen is an upcoming massively multiplayer online First Person Universe video game for Microsoft Windows and Linux developed and published by Chris Roberts' company Cloud Imperium Games. The game has been in active development since 2012, and there is no official release date as of 2017. Its development is financed by a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign. The development includes a single-player campaign titled Squadron 42.
Star Citizen is being developed across 5 studios, based in Austin USA, Los Angeles USA, Winslow UK, Frankfurt Germany and Derby UK.
