Hello and welcome back to the latest installment of Lore Builder, where we work with the community to develop previously unexplored areas of the Star Citizen lore. As always, if you are new to this feature, we highly recommend reviewing the updated caveats and suggested background reading described in this previous issue, so you can get a clear understanding of what’s already been established.

Now on to this week’s brand new topic:

FREE TIME

First off, thank you so much for all the suggestions for Lore Builder topics. It gave us a great idea of what all of you are interested in discussing more in depth. We logged them all and have some fun future subjects in mind. Speaking of fun, what topic better to cover after a long US holiday weekend than how people in Star Citizen spend their free time?

This was a popular suggestion, so we thought it would be great to hear how you think fine folks all over the ’verse spend their hard earned leisure hours. From bar backrooms, to crowded cargo holds, to posh viewing decks, people are always finding new ways to kill a few hours.

To help formulate your suggestions -

NAME OF ACTIVITY: Blackjack, Triad/Pyramid, Squigglefist, etc.
PARTICIPANTS: Who likes to play? Pirates? Bank tellers during lunch? People named Dave and Will?
EQUIPMENT: Deck of cards? Protective headgear? As many knives as you can carry?
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Just give a high level description of the activity. We don’t need a full set of rules as the responses would get out of hand. However, if your creative juices are flowing and you’d like to provide detailed instructions and rules, feel free to create a post in the Fan Fiction section of the forums and share the link to it with us here.

Speaking of rules (yes, we know we used this transition earlier; it is just that good of a transition), we have a related bonus topic that we would like for you to discuss as well. There are two games that we have already mentioned in lore and thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to flesh them out more. (Stop reading here to see if you can guess what the two games are and earn yourself super Star Citizen lore trivia bonus points!)

Game #1: The card game Trigger first mentioned in Tales of Kid Crimson: Issue 2 and Cassandra’s Tears: Issue 6.

Game #2: The guessing game Senate Betrayal first mentioned just last week in the Carrack mini-game.

Using the format provided above, let us know how you think these two games are played!

That’s it for this week.

Until next time …
