Electronic Access

From the Star Citizen Wiki, the fidelity™ encyclopedia

Electronic Access was a game company bought by Original Systems, it didn't work out so well so it got shut down and repurposed as their digital storefront, selling “ROMs” giving users access to time-limited items in their simulator, such as Arena Commander and Star Marine.[1][2]

Electronic Access prided itself in supporting the artistic vision of their developpers. But the publisher that released titles such as Cartel and Sector Blast is long gone.[3]

Trivia

  • It's a friendly dig at Electronic Arts which had bought Origin Systems.[2] The digital storefront refers to EA's Origin storefront.
