The Aegis P5G Gladius is a light fighter of an older design which has been updated over the years to keep up with modern technology. In military circles, the Gladius is beloved for its performance and its simplicity. A fast, light fighter with a laser-focus on dogfighting, the Gladius is an ideal interceptor or escort ship.[1] |

Special Editions
Gladius "Valiant"
Created as part of the Masters of Flight series in conjunction with the flight-sim Arena Commander, it pays tribute to famed defense pilot Condi Hillard for being the first Human on record to defeat a Vanduul in combat. This Gladius comes equipped with a specialized dogfighting focused loadout and a custom special edition livery honoring her iconic ship.[2]
The Valiant boasts a new array of weaponry over the standard Gladius, giving it an edge over Vanduul attackers in longer engagements. The ballistic Scorpion GT-215 Gatling is removed in favour of a CF-337 Panther Repeater on the nose and the two repeaters on the wings are replaced with two Omnisky IX Cannons. The four Ignite II missiles are replaced with eight Pioneer I missiles and the pair of Arrester III are replaced with Viper III missiles. [3] |

Gladius "Pirate"
With a red and black pirate livery, it's only available when defeating "Pirate Swarm" in Arena Commander.[4]
The weapons loadout of the Pirate edition is different when compared to the standard Gladius. While the infamous Scorpion GT-215 Gatling is kept on the nose mount, the two repeaters under the wings are replace with M5A Laser Cannons. The four Ignite II missiles are also kept however the pair of Arrester III are replaced with with eight Marksman I missiles.[5] |
