Dragon Con, sometimes referred to as DragonCon is a multigenre convention for fans of science fiction, fantasy, gaming, comic books, literature, art, music, and film and other elements of fan culture, taking place every year in the US.[1]
Cloud Imperium developers held panels and stands at several Dragon Con.[2][3][4][5] Examples include Q&As with Ben Lesnick, Dave Haddock, Alex Mayberry, David Ladyman, David Hobbins or Short Story Review & Discussion: David Ladyman discussing and reviewing short stories for Star Citizen. "Bring a story sample, or just stop by to see what they’re looking for."[6] Star Citizen tournaments were also held.[7]
Dragon Con attendees were able to get a card with a code for a time-limited free flight.[8] Codes for discounts on ships were also available.
Jump Point Issue 01-10 features a behind the scenes of the CIG team at Dragon Con 2013.[9]
The visual Endeavor concept was first revealed at Dragon Con 2015.
