Nathan Dearsley

Nathan Dearsley is Vehicle Art Director at Cloud Imperium Games.[1]

Works at CIG

He was tasked with coming up with the design and concept for the Avenger ship for Star Citizen. Concept through to final ingame model, texturing and shading tasks.[2]

He was responsible for taking the initial Retaliator concept from Ryan Church and working it to a final flyable asset ingame. All interior spaces and layout of these were redesigned and concepted by Nathan, he brought the detailed greybox up to final for the whole ships exterior and interior. He was also responsible for all final exterior modelling, texturing, shading and lighting. On the interior he brought the cockpit, all turrets, front corridor sections, front payload and access areas to final ingame model and shading. He was helped in the final couple of months of production by Phil Howlett and Jay Malhotra who took his detailed greybox and visual direction to final in the remaining areas: engineering, rear payload, entrance, escape pods/sleeping bays, gunnery.[3]
