Star Citizen Alpha 3.16 introduces mining gadgets and trip mines, opens up the hospital in Area18, and introduces the MISC Hull C, as well as a myriad of gameplay additions, fixes and upgrades.

DNA Head Textures Update Implementing art updates for DNA archetype heads that will improve the quality of all DNA heads, both for players and common NPCs.

Feature Description
Area 18 Hospital Implementation of a working hospital located in Area 18, where players can be healed and revived, as well as purchase medical supplies and life insurance.
Derelict Spaceships - Points of Interest Points of interest that will be scattered on planets. They will be derelict spaceships with some type of activity (puzzle, traversal, hostile AI) and some type of reward for resolving said activity.


Feature Description
Shops and Patrons Vastly expand the interactive usables needed for an assortment of shops and patrons. We will be populating dozens of shops with the ‘vendor’ behavior previously seen in the bartender. This will include the Coffee Stand, Pizza Bar, Kiosks, and more.

Feature Description
Mining Gadgets Mining gadgets will help to modify the rock and assist the player with mining a Deposit. The player can attach a device physically to a mineable deposit in FPS to modify its stats, making mining either easier and safer, or quicker and riskier.
Updates - Dying Star Map Updating the Dying Star map by increasing overall size, adding new playable areas, more cover options, and new space assets.

Gravlev Physics Rework A significant rework of the flight and driving model for gravlev vehicles when hovering. The aim is to improve general feel and stability, resulting in a far better experience for players using hover bikes.
Jumptown 2.0 Implementation of Jumptown 2.0, a new dynamic event in the persistent universe. Inspired by the historic events of Jumptown, this new event features both lawful and unlawful mission paths.

Feature Description
Laser Trip Mine T0 Implementing laser trip mines into the game, which are explosives that use light beams as triggers. When someone or something comes into contact with the beam, the mine goes boom.
