This mission tasks the player with shutting down a comm array around a planetary body, and keeping it offline for at least a few minutes. The comm array will be protected by defensive turrets and may have missile defenses as well. Hoverbikes can fit inside of the entrance to the comm array's interior. As soon as the player begins the hack, a Network Intrusion ECN Alert will be sent out to all other players in the area. If the player obtains a fine for trespassing, it can be paid off at various terminals.

Dynamic Description

Spoiler content

"Comm Array array id around moon/planet being online's going to be a problem for some Nine Tails working the area.

Shut it down, keep it offline 'til the job's complete, and we'll make it worth your while. I wouldn't be surprised if some trouble showed up when all is said and done.

Of course, you won't be able to access the array's controls unless you have a CRYPTOKEY with you.

We arranged for one to be waiting for you at Devlin Scrap & Salvage on Euterpe if you don't already have one."

Spoiler content

"A couple of Nine Tails are working on a big score and they need Comm Array array id around Yela shut down to make sure they get some privacy. Once it's offline, we'll need you to hang out there to make sure the commlink stays down long enough. There are regular patrols of the area, so be ready just in case some unwanted visitors show up.

And DON'T forget, you'll need a CRYPTOKEY to access the array's controls. Bring your own if you want, but you can head to Brio's Breaker Yard on Daymar and grab one there.

Hate for you to head all the way out to the array and not be able to do the damn job."

Spoiler content

"Here's the breakdown - Comm Array array id around planet/moon needs to be taken offline, and Dusters are looking to hire a hacker to do it and guarantee the uplink's down for as long as needed. I'm not expecting trouble, but knowing what security is like in that sector, it's not out of the question. That's about all you need to know.

*** P.S. You'll need a CRYPTOKEY to access the control panel. We arranged one to be waiting for you at Wallace's Lab at Grim HEX, but if you prefer to use your own, that's fine too."
