The Anvil Aerospace F8CR-A Lightning[1] is an experimental heavy fighter variant of the F8A Lightning utilized by the 42nd Squadron. It is a highly maneuverable and improved design over the standard F8A Lightning. The F8CR-A appears to be an even more exclusive ship on-top of the already rare F8A Lightning, its performance is unmatched against the Vanduul.

The F8CR-A Lightning has the same firepower as its predecessor the F8A Lightning, carrying a suite of six Size 3 Panther Repeaters, and two Size 4 Revenant Gatling Guns.
Streamlined Design
The F8CR-A streamlines the design of the standard F8A and includes a much smoother hull, and fully retractable blades on the front that extend in a two-stage mechanism.
