Ita Hurston was a 'Chief Warrant Officer' for the Advanced Special Operations of the United Planets of Earth Navy. She was also a member of the infamous Hurston family and was married to Julius Hurston.
She was killed in service during the First Tevarin War (2541-2546). To honor her, the fourth moon of the planet Hurston was named after her.
She also had several charities dedicated to her that her husband set up which were aimed at combating social issues of the time.[1]
