The TruHold Tractor Beam Attachment is an attachment for the Pyro RYT Multi-Tool. It is manufactured by Greycat Industrial. It allows users to move objects up to 8 SCU[1] remotely, or pull themselves towards larger objects while in EVA.[2] Users can combine two beams to lift up to 16 SCU.[1]

Description

Whether your feet are on the floor or floating in zero-G, the TruHold attachment for the Pyro RYT Multi-Tool makes lifting and positioning items easier than ever. With its impressive and efficient pull/draw ratio and easy-to-read range finder, the TruHold can be used solo or paired with other beams to tackle heavier targets. Plus, the TruHold has the added benefit of functioning as a personal zero-G traversal device when coupled to an object with a high enough mass.

Usage

The TruHold Tractor Beam Attachment's primary use is to quickly and remotely move smaller cargo and other physics based objects in gravity and zero-g. If in zero-g, it can also be used as a "grapple hook" by tethering to a large object (asteroids, space stations, ships, etc.) and pulling the player towards it. This includes a tractor beam UI that displays Force and Distance Gauge as well as indications if the tether is close to breaking. Players can rotate a tethered item by holding R and moving the mouse cursor.[3]
