The Cutlass Black Best In Show Edition represents a limited edition, medium-sized, multi-functional spacecraft manufactured by Drake Interplanetary. This ship is designed to provide an economical and low-maintenance option primarily for transportation, while also integrating combat capabilities, rendering it particularly suitable for local in-system militia forces.[1]

Crew Area
Despite Drake's reputation of providing only the essentials, the Cutlass still has a spacious crew area which includes a pair of beds, a small kitchenette, two 500k µSCU storage lockers, and four fully functional gun racks.
Easy Access
Apart from its rear ramp, the ship also has a pair of large side doors, ideal for when you need to EVA to recover cargo, salvaging, or for rescue operations.
Tractor Beams
To assist in recovery-type missions, the ship has a conveniently placed hard-point at the rear which holds a size 1 tractor beam.
Weapons
Being in the depths of space can leave you vulnerable to attacks from other ships. With four pilot-controlled size 3 gun hard-points, a manned turret which can hold a pair of size 3 guns, and racks that can hold eight size 3 and sixteen size 2 missiles, Drake Interplanetary has you covered.

- It was one of 4 finalist in the 'Best In Show' event during Intergalactic Aerospace Expo 2949. Cutlass Black owners, at the time of the event, received an upgrade to this variant as a reward. The ship was also offered as a stand alone purchase to backers only during the event.[2]
