The Tumbril Cyclone RN is a civilian light reconnaissance vehicle that is part of the Cyclone series. It is used for scouting runs, providing fast and detailed scans of terrain as well as beacon placement.[1]

Features

Scanners
The Cyclone RN features an exploration and recon package with a dedicated scanner for ground reconnaissance, which picks up any source with a detectable signature, such as IR or EM. The difficulty of picking up the signal depends on the source's output and equipment on the Cyclone. Scan results cannot pinpoint specific sources such as a derelict or an item stash, but they generally inform the operator about a large structure within the scan distance. The RN's upgraded radar system is expected to have a longer range and better detection capabilities than the standard Cyclone, along with data banks to store a larger amount of scanned data to help with the mapping of a planet's surface.[2]
Beacons
The Cyclone RN comes with a supply of small beacons that may be placed to mark important locations on the ground. These beacons give off a strong signal that may be picked up by other vehicles or ships with limited scanner strength; even in dangerous or obscuring conditions, such as a sandstorm.[3]
Gun rack
Beside each seat is a gun rack where a single 'First Person' weapon can be stored.
